a random bed room that is not mine ;)

ok so of this piece i am overall happy with it. how ever it would probably be my least favourite piece so far.
I like my picture of keelan and i, when you look at my picture your eyes go to it right away.
i m also happy with the duplicaes of my computer chair, it turned out really good.
The part that i dont like about my piece is how cluttered my dresser looks, and by duplicating opjects in it makes it look even more cluttered. I also dilike the carpet below my dresser it cutes out by the other duplicate of my dresser.
If i were to do this project again i would, be more prepared by having of pictued of myself in my room so i wouldnt have to get kaela to get it for me :) .i would also have more duplicates added if i had more time.

Art Reflection

eToy

  1. In 1994 a Swiss corporation called Etoy was formed by a group of European artists. This corporation described its self as a "corporate sculpture" that "crosses and blurs the frontiers between art, identity, nations, fashion, politics, technology, social engineering music, power and business to create a massive impact on global markets and businesses." The raised funds for their projects and issued a stock on its share holders. (NP)

* In 1999 online merchant called Etoys had received a complaint for the profanity from a customer who accidentally went to the Etoy website. Etoys offered etoy $516 00 US to change there name when in reality Etoy had registered there site 2 years before Etoys, Etoy decined there offer. Etoy. Etoy was frusterated with Etoys for making the offer so they designed a "toy war" by using the internet as a battlefield by making a game to attack etoys, they also created chat rooms and anti Etoys websites. It all ended in jan 2000 Etoys dropped there law suit. This ended up being the most expensive performance in art history.

2. ART:
- the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.
- the class of objects subject to aesthetic criteria; works of art collectively, as paintings, sculptures, or drawings: a museum of art; an art collection.
- a field, genre, or category of art: Dance is an art.
- any field using the skills or techniques of art: advertising art; industrial art.
- illustrative or decorative material: Is there any art with the copy for this story

* I think that what these artists did was art because instead of conforming like all other businesses they did what they wanted and made people think about there sculptures. Art is apart of thinking out side the box and making people really think about your work and that's exactly what they did :)

3. I would have made the same decision as they did not take the money. Especially because it was there idea first / they were there first so really etoys should of just changed the name if it was that big of a deal.

4. In a way i think that what they did was immature. They should have channeled there anger in another way. But they did end up fighting and winning. so in a way i think what they did was wrong.

A-trees

1. An artist named Natalie Jeremijenko created a virus that you could download for your printer. This "virus" calculates how many pieces of paper a printer has used. When the printer has used the equivalent of one medium sized tree's worth of paper, it automatically prints out a image of the ring cross section of a tree trunk. Eventually a tree or stump can be reconstructed by stacking the paper tree rings. This piece of art investigates the realationship between technology and the natural world.

This artist also created A trees which was another tree growth. It went on the destop of your computer and it grows like a plant in soil. This tree is actually programed to grow gradually in height. THe trees growth rate is determined by the level of actual level of carbon dioxide in the air in the micro environment surrounding the computer, measured by a real carbon dixoide metre.

2. ART: - the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.

3. I would have to say that i like the A-trees better then the stump. I say this because i feel like stump is a waste of trees it self. Its an amazing idea just a waste at the same time. Where as A-trees is more of a vertual example which gives about the same impact as the print out of a tree ring.

4. Umm, i going to have to say that they arent actually a living thing, just a replica of a living tree, i think its cool how it is effected by the actual carbon dixoide in your air. (This is what really makes you ask your self if it really is a living thing. )

ANTI-SMOKING POSTER ♥

BRAINSTORMING

OK so for this poster found an image of lips and a cigarette

so i m going to use that and add more smoke to the side, and maybe add black and white images of women smoking... and the text "kiss me i m toxic "

Overall i m very happy with this poster :)

i really like how i extended the lip and added smoke surrounding the lips to add more of an affect. i also really like the smoking women in the back ground, i like how they are black and white so your eyes are drown to the lips and text. I m really happy with the way my text turned out. i like how the "kiss me" is in a fancy text and how the i m toxic is smudged like smoke.

If i had more time to fix my poster up i would make the top part of my picture which is white more of a gray tone. I would also fix my side lip (my add on) and lighten it so it isnt such a hot pink shade. I would also smudge the x a little more.

If i were to do this assinment again to fix it, i wouldnt change much just the little minor things but other than that i m really HAPPY with the out come :).
