** Environment
1.the aggregate of surrounding things, conditions, or influences; surroundings; milieu.
2.Ecology. the air, water, minerals, organisms, and all other external factors surrounding and affecting a given organism at any time.
3.the social and cultural forces that shape the life of a person or a population.
4.Computers. the hardware or software configuration, or the mode of operation, of a computer system: In a time-sharing environment, transactions are processed as they occur.
5.an indoor or outdoor setting that is characterized by the presence of environmental art that is itself designed to be site-specific.
**Entropy
1.Thermodynamics.
a. (on a macroscopic scale) a function of thermodynamic variables, as temperature, pressure, or composition, that is a measure of the energy that is not available for work during a thermodynamic process. A closed system evolves toward a state of maximum entropy.
b. (in statistical mechanics) a measure of the randomness of the microscopic constituents of a thermodynamic system. Symbol: S
2. (in data transmission and information theory) a measure of the loss of information in a transmitted signal or message.
3. (in cosmology) a hypothetical tendency for the universe to attain a state of maximum homogeneity in which all matter is at a uniform temperature (heat death).
4. a doctrine of inevitable social decline and degeneration

What do these artists have in common? (Robert Smithson’s Spiral Jetty, Chris Drury’s Medicine Wheel, Christo, Richard Long, Alan Sonfist, Erwin Timmers, Rosalie Gascoigne)
**All these artists have an environmental element to there work, their tools and symbols that are used in the sculptures are all natural materials.

Brainstorming:
For my sculpture assignment I would like to use the symbolic idea of a deterrering household, who's good memories are starting to fade and "float" away. The themes i would like to use would be: love, compassion (the love that's fading away), The main theme i would like to show in my image would be chilid abuse, and sad, unhappy children. I will have the dark sky (depresstion, anger, sadness) over coming the light sky (happy memories). I hope over all my image will turn out good. = )
My Final Sculpture:
What i love out my final piece is that i finally manged to fade the images and find a filter to make them look like blown away memories and to appear as clouds.i also like the faded purple flower in the bottom right coner. But i m going to have to say that my favourite image out of all my images in this sculpture would have to be the sad face in the middle of the house in between the two windows, i feel that without my theme wouldn't come together in the end. I also like how the darkness is also darkening the house as well as the sky. The good memories coming out of the house through the chimney has a effect of the good memories fading away and being replaced with bad ones.
I don't think there is anything in my image that i don't like, but there can defiantly be improvements. IF i could change anything about my image if i were given more time, i would fill the whole sky with faded happy memories and sad, faces. It would make my sculpture so much more powerful. I would also make my yellow wilted flower in the houses flower beds stand out better, by either choosing another wilted flower or making the stem darker and thicker. I would also add some more black and white images in the drive way.
